About

Hi!

My name is Priscilla Versteeg, I am an art therapist with a passion for travel. In October 2016 I made the decision to follow my heart and live my long lasted dream of travelling around the world!

This decision didn’t came easy for me as I had to let go of all the securities that come with a settled life. It took me a lot of energy, but the journey that followed brought me so much in life that I wouldn’t have wanted to miss it. In fact, they inspired me to keep on exploring and learning about this world!

So who am I?

I was born in Amsterdam and spend most of my childhood living in Almere. Ever since I was a child I’ve had interest in other cultures and places. The way people think, act and live around the planet fascinates me and I love how creative the human mind can be. Wherever you find me I’m interacting with strangers. Listening to their stories, sharing mine. Although every now and then I also enjoy some quiet time, somewhere in Nature, away from society. When I travel I like to dance, sing and write where I can. I love to improv songs, play with words and record about my travels almost every day! I used to have a problem making decisions in life, but traveling thought me that wherever you go, there will always be a way. Regardless of what you decide. So better just do what you love <3

Where have I been?

Before my long journey I’d visited about 23+ countries. Some part of a longer trip, like Ghana and Cambodia. Some in a combined journey, like backpacking in Eastern Europe and Indonesia. While others in smaller trips to single countries in and around Europe. Since I left I added another 10 countries to that list. My philosophy; it’s not about how many countries you visit, but about how well you get to know them. I’ve spend a total of 4.5 months in Ghana, 6 months in Nepal and 6+ months in Iran, where I’m currently based after sixteen months of solo travel. Finally uploading some of those adventures of mine. South-America, Africa and Oceania are next on my travel list.
